Description

Reporting to the Salon Manager, the Receptionist will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and greeting clients as they arrive at the salon
  • Ensuring our clients feel welcome and receive the best service and experience expected from Salon YOSHIKO
  • Handling credit card and cash transactions and register reconciliation
  • Managing the smooth flow of clients between check in and their service
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the front desk
  • Answering phones and scheduling appointments
  • Dedication to great customer service
  • General knowledge of retail products and the ability to make recommendations


Requirements

Experience and qualifications include:

  • Prior salon reception (or hospitality) experience, preferably in a luxury environment
  • Strong positive verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make staff feel appreciated and customers feel welcome
  • Excellent problem solver who remains professional at all times
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively resolve client issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule (40 hours per week)
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized, keeping in mind salon atmosphere, ambience and cleanliness
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, wearing a variety of hats with the understanding no task is too big or small
  • Genuine passion for beauty
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as salon POS systems
