This position requires travel between NY Office and NJ Office, as well as travel to Corporate Headquarters as necessary. Pay for this position is $25.00 per hour
The Human Resources Representative reports to the Assistant Director of Human Resources with a dotted line to the VP of Human Resources. Additionally, there is a dotted line to the VP of Operations for administrative responsibilities. The Human Resources Representative manages the day to day Human Resources Operations of the District Office and the administration of the Human Resources policies, procedures and programs including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complies with all existing State and Federal regulations regarding employment including but not limited to Equal Employment Eligibility (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA, CTFMLA), Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and so forth.
Manages the recruitment process for the District Office using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Responsible for managing the vacancies and Master Schedule for all accounts serviced by the District Office.
Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and State/Federal Regulations related to the Human Resources function.
Participates in the investigative process when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
Acts as an internal consultant to Managers and Supervisors regarding the steps in the progressive discipline process.
Represent company at external recruitment or industry events as needed.
Assist with employee training process, including but not limited to delivering trainings, trainings need assessments, new employee orientation and onboarding. Responsible for Administrative needs of District Office, including but not limited to the opening and closing of the office, answering phones, and reception.
Requirements
Position Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required, Associates Degree in business preferred. One (1) to two (2) year previous Human Resources experience in the Security Guard Industry strongly preferred.
To effectively perform the duties of District Human Resources Representative, individuals must be able to demonstrate the following Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Experience with Human Resources Programs (Recruitment, Employee Relations, etc.)
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Effective oral and written communication.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle difficult conversations.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
